What we collect right now
Nothing. The founding-community form validates your answers in your own browser and then discards them. No data is transmitted, stored or shared. This will change when the waitlist goes live, and this page will be updated before it does.
What we will collect at launch
- Your first name, country and email address.
- Your gender and who you're looking for.
- Confirmation that you are 18 or older.
Why gender and preference need separate consent
Together, those two answers can reveal sexual orientation. Under UK and EU data protection law that is special category data, and it requires your explicit, separate consent — which is why it has its own checkbox rather than being bundled into a general agreement. You can join without answering either: choose “Prefer not to say”.
What we use it for
To tell you when the app launches, and to understand roughly who is interested so we build the right thing. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until the waitlist has served its purpose and everyone on it has been invited — whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely — at any time, without giving a reason. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe.

Terms of Service
These terms cover this waitlist only. The app itself will have its own terms covering subscriptions, conduct and account termination before it ships.
Who can join
You must be 18 or older. It's Settled is a dating and friendship service for adults, and we remove anyone found to be under 18.
What joining the waitlist means
It reserves your place and your founding-member pricing. It is not a purchase, and it does not create an account. No payment is taken, and you owe us nothing.
What we promise
- We'll email you when the app launches.
- Founding members keep their pricing for as long as they stay subscribed.
- We won't sell your details or send you anything you didn't ask for.
What we don't promise
We can't guarantee a launch date, and we may change the app's features, pricing structure or availability before launch. If we make a change that materially affects what founding members were promised, we'll tell you directly rather than quietly updating this page.
Leaving
Unsubscribe from any email, or contact us, and we'll remove you and your details.
